KAC secure the U18 International League title!
KAC’s U18 team are champions of the ÖEHV U18 International League! The young Red Jackets won the best-of-five series against Újpesti Jégkorong Akadémia 3:2.

After the weekend, the title series in the U18 International League between EC KAC and Újpesti Jégkorong Akadémia was tied at 2:2. The Red Jackets won game three 2:1 after overtime, before narrowly losing 0:1 on Sunday.
With 430 fans behind them on Wednesday, KAC left nothing to chance, winning 5:2 at the Heidi-Horten-Arena to claim the title in this age group for the sixth consecutive time.
Felix Wieltschnig gave KAC an early 1:0 lead. After the Hungarians’ equaliser in the first period, Head Coach Roger Öhman’s team pulled away through Leon Lamereiner on the power play, taking a 2:1 lead with three minutes remaining in the second period.
Paul Winston Noll, Oliver Lam and Tit Smolnikar extended the lead to 5:1 in the final period before Újpesti Jégkorong Akadémia added a late consolation goal.

U13: KAC to face the Graz 99ers in the final
Alongside the U18 side, KAC’s U13 team faced VSV Blau at the Sepp-Puschnig-Halle on Wednesday for a place in the final. After two games, the best-of-three series was tied at 1:1. The young Red Jackets won the decisive game against their Villach counterparts 5:3, and therefore took the series 2:1.
Their opponents in the final are the Graz 99ers, who also won their series against the Vienna Capitals 2:1. In the U13 age group, the final and all placement games will begin next weekend.
