On Saturday, Graz pushed the heavy favourites from Klagenfurt all the way in the first match of the "Best-of-Three" series, narrowly losing 1:3 at the Merkur Eisstadion in Graz. KAC took a 2:0 lead in the opening period through goals from Kai Habeler (7th minute) and Florian Planker (11th minute). In the middle period, Planker again extended the visitors' lead to 3:0 (21st minute). In the final period, Graz made it 1:3 through Werner Winkler (42nd minute). The Styrians won the final period 1:0, but were unable to turn the game around.

The Red Jackets, who won nine of their ten regular-season meetings on the ice – Graz caused a sensation and claimed their only victory with a narrow 5:4 on 7 December 2024 – left nothing to chance in Sunday’s home game at the Sepp Puschnig Halle. They were the dominant team from the outset and made a dream start: goalgetter Sandro Kalegaris found the net in the second minute, before Florian Planker made it 2:0 just 27 seconds later.

Dennis Wliszczak then pulled one back for the Styrians with a fine lofted shot from the blue line. KAC remained in control and had the perfect response through Kalegaris to make it 3:1. In the second period, the Carinthians finally pulled away and moved towards the title: Timo Ropp (17th minute) and Sandro Kalegaris again made it 5:1.

In the final period, Ropp made it 6:1 (32nd minute), before Alex Enderle scored a consolation goal for Graz (41st minute). The 6:2 home win secured the championship for KAC Para Eishockey. The serial champions, who had competed as the Carinthian Steelers in recent seasons, claimed their first title under the KAC banner.
