Juniors Referee Camp – Refs ready for the season
At the end of the summer, training and discussions were held in Ferlach, with everything prepared for the new season. Our domestic youth referees are ready for the youth championships, the women’s leagues and the ÖEL.

The domestic U20 referees have completed two days packed with workshops, presentations, fitness, rules and on-ice tests. They also officiated two games, during which the referees were closely observed and given feedback.
“The two days went very well. Everyone was highly motivated and disciplined. The season can begin,” ÖEHV Officiating Coordinator Simon Riecken summarised with satisfaction.
The aim of this camp in Ferlach was for the referees to come together, get to know one another and prepare jointly for the new season.
Christoph Sternat, a referee in the win2day ICE Hockey League, shared his expertise on selected topics. Peter Schweda gave a presentation on “from the coach’s perspective”, while Timo Gless spoke on the subject of integrity.
