Junior Caps U14 Cham­pions 2022

After an outstanding regular season with 24 wins from 24 games in the North/East group, the EAC Junior Capitals marched confidently into the final. They won 2:0 in each of the best-of-three series, against HC TIWAG Innsbruck in the quarter-finals and EC GRAND Immo VSV in the semi-finals.

EC KAC's peers were equally flawless in the South/West group. Having celebrated as many victories as games played in the 20-game regular season, neither EC Lower Austria Stars nor EC Red Bull Salzburg could halt the Carinthians' winning run.

This set up the dream final, and KAC initially maintained their perfect record by winning game 1 of the final series 9:6. But less than 24 hours later, their shutout record was gone as the Caps levelled the series at 1:1 with a 4:2 win.

The decision came on 9 April, of all places in Klagenfurt from KAC's perspective. The Junior Caps prevailed 6:2 to be crowned U14 champions 2022.
