The bet-at-home ICE Hockey LeagueFollowing the COVID-related withdrawal of HC Znojmo, the league consists of only eleven clubs this season, but that is likely to change again in the foreseeable future. It is no news that EHV Linz, the new rival club to the Black Wings in the Steel City, remains interested in admission after being denied it last year, and this will cause tensions in Upper Austria’s provincial capital in the coming months.

In addition, VEU Feldkirch is once again pursuing its "return to the top flight" project, as announced in recent years. According to the "Vorarlberger Nachrichten", the AlpsHL club has now submitted the necessary documents.

Olimpija Ljubljana is another familiar name looking to return. However, the club is not the same organisation as before, which was primarily notable for its financial problems. HK Olimpija is the Slovenian club's former youth affiliate, which effectively succeeded HDD Olimpija.

According to the league, the current eleven teams have until the end of February to confirm their commitment for next season. Decisions on new admissions will then be made.
