Ice Rink Tech­ni­cian Training: Comple­tion of Module 1

Sound ice rink technician training is essential for the smooth operation of an ice sports facility. Participants acquire specialist knowledge based on the guidelines of the Austrian Institute for School and Sports Facility Construction (ÖISS) and, upon successfully completing the training, gain the qualification of "Certified Ice Rink Technician". Both ÖEHV and the win2day ICE Hockey League are involved in the training as lecturers.

The training takes place in three consecutive modules, each of which concludes with a written examination and its own qualification. After successfully completing Module 1, participants receive the "Ice Attendant" certificate. If Module 2 is also completed successfully, the "Ice Specialist" certificate is issued. After successfully completing all 3 modules, there is a professional discussion, which ultimately concludes with the title of "Certified Ice Rink Technician".

There are currently around 27 participants from across Austria, most of whom come from clubs in the win2day ICE Hockey League.
