Germany Cup squad update: Ten call-ups
Due to injuries and illnesses, several players will be unable to take part in the upcoming Germany Cup. There have also been two withdrawals for personal reasons. Head Coach Roger Bader has had to make ten call-ups, giving several young players the opportunity to prove themselves at this prestigious tournament.

“Of course, it is unfortunate when players have to withdraw, but it is nothing new. It happens time and again that players are unable to attend a team camp for medical reasons. On the other hand, it gives players we are looking at as candidates the chance to perform at the Germany Cup and take their opportunity,” explains Roger Bader.
For the Germany Cup, where Austria will face Slovakia, Germany and Denmark, the head coach has had to make no fewer than ten call-ups. Goaltender Florian Vorauer, defencemen Erik Kirchschläger, Paul Stapelfeldt and Niklas Würschl, as well as forwards Sam Antonitsch, Nico Feldner, Tim Harnisch, Felix Maxa, Senna Peeters and Dario Winkler are new to the squad.
The national team has already arrived in Landshut (GER), where the Germany Cup will be held from 9–12 November. The first training session is scheduled for late afternoon, with the opening game against Slovakia taking place on Thursday.
