Gerd Kragl added to squad
After as many as eight players were affected by food poisoning following last weekend’s Euro Hockey Tour, the squad for the final World Championship preparations in Schwenningen, Germany, has been expanded by one player. 26-time international Gerd Kragl travelled with the team today.

“As several players were carrying knocks, we added a player to the squad as a precaution,” explains Head Coach Roger Bader. Gerd Kragl has taken part in the entire World Championship preparations so far and is already with the team, which now comprises 27 players.
Next Sunday, Austria will play their final warm-up game ahead of the World Championship against Germany. The game will be broadcast live on ORF Sport+ at 17:00.
