Future Women’s Team ended season in Klagenfurt
For five days, the team, led by coaches Claudia Wirl, Silvio Trojer and Jan Vlasin, was in the Lindwurm city and completed several training sessions. The programme also included two practice games against Hungary, although there was not much to show for it in terms of results. The past weekend marked the end of the 2025/2026 season for the Future Women’s Team Austria.

For Hungary, 18 of the 22 players were born in 2012, while Austria also fielded numerous players born in 2013 and 2014. That was evident on the ice.
However, it was important for the ÖEHV selection that everyone was able to gain plenty of match practice. For some, it was even their first appearance for Team Austria.
“With Hungary, it was also evident that they train together in this line-up every month. They were a well-drilled and very balanced team. Nevertheless, our girls battled hard and created one or two scoring chances. And we saw where our weaknesses lie – we can now work on them,” said Head Coach Silvio Trojer.
