The major Stadthalle Villach project has been in full swing for more than a year, and it includes the implementation of the important ÖEHV National Performance Centre for women’s ice hockey. A flagship project, as ÖEHV President Klaus Hartmann emphasises: “The National Performance Centre is intended to operate as a base for the women’s national team and, as an academy location with a dual education system, drive the further professionalisation of our women’s ice hockey.”
It is one of Carinthia’s largest sports infrastructure projects. Accordingly, State Sports Director Arno Arthofer also stressed at the foundation stone ceremony: “Every euro invested in sport is a good euro.”
