EC Bregen­z­er­wald cele­brate Alps Hockey League away win over cham­pions Zell am See

Following their clear defeat to the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, EC Bregenzerwald continued their road trip at EK Zeller Eisbären – successfully. After two scoreless periods, Tim Coffman put the home side ahead on the power play in the 50th minute in front of almost 2.00 fans. However, Bregenzerwald turned the game around in the closing stages: Alexander Tell scored twice in the 52nd and 55th minutes to spark the comeback. In the final minute, Ben Summer sealed the 3:1 final score with an empty-net goal.

KHL Sisak fell behind 0:2 early in Asiago and trailed 1:3 at the first interval. The Croatians levelled the score with two quick goals in the middle period. In the 51st minute, Panasenko gave the visitors the lead for the first time with his second goal of the evening, before Larionov extended it shortly afterwards. Parco did make the game close again, but Sisak ultimately prevailed 5:4 to defend their position at the top.

Less than 24 hours after their home win over Bregenzerwald, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors were back on the ice. On Saturday, they recorded a clear 4:1 win in Sterzing. Nick Maul gave Salzburg an early lead before Davide Conci equalised for the Wipptal Broncos. The visitors then took control: league top scorer Maxim Eliseev netted twice in the middle period before completing his hat-trick with his third goal in the final period. The Juniors therefore remain second in the standings.

Rittner Buam SkyAlps celebrated their third win in a week against HC Meran and held on to third place. Goals from Rein and Trivellato gave the visitors from Meran a 2:0 lead after around 23 minutes. Manuel Öhler pulled one back on the power play in the middle period. In the final period, coach Dave MacQueen's team pressed in vain for an equaliser for a long time before Welychka made it 2:2 on the power play with around five minutes remaining. Madsen then scored the much-celebrated winner shortly afterwards.

Kitzbühel and Cortina served up an entertaining duel. After a scoreless first period, the hosts took the lead before Cortina turned the game around in the middle period through goals from Fortunato and Remolato. Barely had the final period begun when Lippitsch equalised on the power play after just twelve seconds. Shortly afterwards, Krainz made it 3:2 for Kitzbühel – a scoreline that remained unchanged until the final siren.

HDD Jesenice celebrated their third consecutive win. With a clear 5:1 victory over Gröden, the Slovenians handed the South Tyroleans their third straight defeat. Bohinc gave the home side the lead in the first period. After Schiavone's temporary equaliser, Jesenice pulled away to 4:1 in the middle period, with Svetina all but sealing the outcome while shorthanded. Jenko set the final score at 5:1 on the power play in the final period.
