The Deutschland Cup opens the national team season for the ÖEHV men's team. Last year, in their first-ever participation in the Deutschland Cup, they finished an outstanding second, celebrating victories over Slovakia and Denmark. They were only beaten 0:3 by hosts and tournament winners Germany.
The world runners-up, along with Denmark, Slovakia and Austria, will once again compete for the tournament title this year. In the women's tournament, Germany, Denmark, Finland and the Czech Republic will face off. All matches will be broadcast live and free of charge on MagentaSport.
Ticket pre-sales are scheduled to begin in early August 2023. In line with the double tournament format, there will be special ticket packages (tournament ticket, weekend ticket, day ticket, etc.), making it easy for fans to watch both women's and men's ice hockey at the highest international level on the same day.
