DEBL begins the new season with a headline game

A special clash is on the cards to open the Dameneishockey Bundesliga on 14 September: EAC Women Capitals will host Hungary's women's team ahead of the win2day ICE Hockey League game between Vienna Capitals and FTC Telekom. DEBL2 begins its new season on 11 October with the fixtures SPORTUNION DHC IceCats LinzAG II vs. Graz99ers Huskies and SPG Kitzbühel/Kufstein vs. EC KAC Frauen II.

It is a real standalone highlight to open the season for EAC Women Capitals. The Capitals will launch the new Dameneishockey Bundesliga season on 14 September. It is the only game on that day and will take place at STEFFL Arena ahead of spusu Vienna Capitals' opening home game. Ferencvaros from Hungary are the opponents for both teams. Last season, Women Capitals finished in 3rd place, behind EC-KAC and champions Villach Lady Hawks.

The latter will compete in the EWHL next season and therefore also in the win2day Austrian Women´s Hockey League. Lady Hawks' second team will instead look to follow in the champions' footsteps in the DEBL.

For the other Austrian representatives in the DEBL, the season begins on 21 September, while runners-up EC-KAC enter the fray on 28 September with a home game against the Capitals. After the regular season, the top 2 will play for the championship title in a CHL format.

The new DEBL 2 season begins on 11 October. Defending champions SPG Kitzbühel/Kufstein will host EC-KAC Frauen II. Last season, the Tyroleans marched to the title without suffering a defeat. After the regular season, the top 4 will contest the Final 4.
