CTS EVENTIM and the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation agree long-term partnership
The most successful World Championship in 31 years, culminating in reaching the quarter-finals, is now history. In the build-up, Austria's men's team played a total of nine warm-up games, five of them in front of home fans, with the major highlight against Canada on 4 May. During this traditionally ‘hot’ phase, the ÖEHV was able to secure CTS EVENTIM, one of the leading international providers of ticketing and live entertainment, as its new long-term ticketing partner.

Tickets for the home games in the World Championship build-up were already available via the ÖEHV's own online ticket shop, which will also handle ticketing for home games in the future. Fans will therefore benefit from a fast, convenient and intuitive booking process. Through the partnership with CTS EVENTIM and its EVENTIM.Tixx ticketing solution, which is proven in sport, the ÖEHV has access not only to the white-label online shop, but also to the high-reach ticketing portal oeticket.com, with millions of active users, as well as the extensive network of physical advance sales outlets in Austria as usual. This allows ice hockey fans to purchase their tickets conveniently through all channels – online, on mobile or on site.
The cooperation with CTS EVENTIM offers numerous advantages for both the ÖEHV and all ice hockey fans.
Thanks to the new webshop's interface with the organisation's own CRM system, including connected campaign management, the ÖEHV can further optimise its services, communicate even better and more directly with domestic ice hockey fans, and strengthen fan engagement. The aim is to create an even more personal ticketing experience – from initial contact through to attending the game.
The federation also benefits from greater flexibility in developing and designing event pages, while simultaneously having access to the full marketing potential of Austria's largest ticketing platforms.
Bernhard Friedrich, ÖEHV Managing Director: “We are delighted to welcome CTS EVENTIM, an international player in the events market, as a new partner in the ice hockey family. In addition to the customary high quality in the implementation and processing of ticketing, we now have new opportunities to target fans directly. The collaboration is working well, and feedback on the games already handled during the World Championship build-up has been very positive.”
Jens Brämer, Managing Director EVENTIM Sports: “We are very pleased to provide significant support to the ÖEHV in the future digitalisation of its services with our flexible and high-performance EVENTIM.Tixx technology. Together, we are laying the foundations for an even better ticketing experience for fans – convenient, fast and across all channels. This partnership once again underlines our capabilities in the Austrian market as a digitalisation partner for clubs and federations.”
The men's entire build-up for the 2025 World Championship was already successfully handled via Eventim.Tixx and Eventim.Access.
