Coach wanted!

The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation supports and promotes the development of ice hockey. The professional support of the national teams, young players and affiliated clubs are among the federation’s core responsibilities and strategic challenges. The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation and the Styrian Ice Hockey Federation are jointly seeking a committed employee with organisational flexibility for the position of Regional Development Coach (RET).

Responsibilities:
The Regional Development Coach (RET) is operationally part of the ÖEHV Sports Department and is primarily responsible for sporting development in Styria. The role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

- Assessment of the current situation of regional ice hockey clubs
- Development coach for all regional clubs (including an ICEHL club) and collaboration with club coaches
- Skills training – delivery of model training sessions
- Collaboration with regional schools and kindergartens
- Supporting regional clubs with recruitment measures
- Organisation of parent information events
- Instructor in the federation’s training programme (A/B/C licence)
- Involvement in the ÖEHV further education programme (Coaches Clinics, Mentoring)
- Ongoing adaptation of coaching course content

In addition to your coaching and teaching duties, you will communicate with the sporting management of the ÖEHV office.

Your profile:
- Experience as a (former) player
- Resident in the region
- Completed coaching qualification in ice hockey (A licence)
- Enthusiasm for ice hockey
- Personal, social and communication skills (in German) for working with young people
- Organisational and coordination skills
- Flexibility, ability to work in a team, reliability and enthusiasm
- Motivation to embrace new things and enjoyment of imparting knowledge
- Willingness to undertake further training
- MS Office skills

Monthly gross salary: EUR 2.200.-.
