Cancel­la­tions in the youth sector

The men's U16 and U15 national teams' planned tournament appearances in November have been cancelled without replacement due to the uncertain Covid-19 situation in Europe.

"These teams are about guiding young players towards international level through tournaments. These are important gatherings, without question. Nevertheless, given the current situation and the concerns expressed by parents, we will cancel the activities of these two youth teams. As this area is not considered elite sport, everyone would have to quarantine in the event of a positive coronavirus case. That would not be reasonable for any of the participants," explains Austria's Sporting Director Roger Bader.
