Call for appli­ca­tions for C Licence coaching course in Villach and Zell am See

The ÖEHV education and training guidelines provide for the so-called COACHING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING as the 1st stage of coach education for both women and men. This training is a prerequisite for the next stage, training as an instructor (formerly known as Lehrwart). Coaching instructor training has been standardised throughout Austria by Sport Austria (BSO) and the three specialist sports associations ASKÖ, ASVÖ and SPORTUNION.

The theoretical and practical-methodological training is divided into two modules, with the first module serving as the basis for all specialist modules.

1st module: Coaching Instructor Basic Module

• Organised and delivered by one of the three specialist sports associations
• Basic Module 1 is offered at many locations throughout Austria – a detailed overview of upcoming courses can be found at: Sport Austria website (fortbildung.sportaustria.at)
• Sport-specific independent content
• 21 teaching units of 45 min
• Multiple-choice examination (1 unit)
• Participation in a first-aid course

Successful completion of the Sport Austria Coaching Instructor Basic Module is a fundamental requirement for participation in the ice hockey-specific Coaching Instructor Specialist Module.

2nd module: Coaching Instructor Specialist Module

• Organised and delivered by the regional associations in consultation with the ÖEHV
• Sport-specific content
• At least 25 teaching units
• Practical teaching demonstration (examination)

After successfully completing both modules, the Coaching Instructor certificate will be issued. This certificate can be used to apply for a licence from the ÖEHV.
