Bid on a signed Canada jersey for a good cause
White Ribbon Austria is part of the world's largest men's initiative against violence against women. Violence, including femicide, remains an alarming social problem in Austria and is rooted in unequal treatment, toxic notions of masculinity and a lack of accountability. Men must be part of the solution and actively take responsibility.

Fair play in every relationship – campaign & cooperation
With its “Fair play in every relationship” campaign, White Ribbon is sending a clear message in support of respectful partnerships, equality and a non-violent culture of conflict resolution. The campaign applies core values from sport – respect, responsibility, team spirit and fairness – to all areas of life.
As part of the initiative, a cross-border cooperation was established with the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation (ÖEHV), the Canadian Embassy and White Ribbon Canada. This collaboration included an exchange of expertise, a train-the-trainer programme and an international Gender Talk.
Prevention work at the Canada–Austria friendly
The campaign was visibly implemented at the international friendly between Canada and Austria on 4 May 2025 at Steffl Arena. The White Ribbon logo on the players' jerseys, messages on LED boards and screens, and an information stand on site sent a clear message against violence against women.
The game thus became a social statement: fair play applies not only in sport, but in every relationship.
This cooperation also resulted in the jersey now being auctioned, as a symbol of international prevention work.
Auction of a unique collector's item
White Ribbon Austria is auctioning an official Team Canada 2024 jersey, signed by players from the Canadian national team:
Nicolas Beaudin (#74), Dylan Garand (#31), Barret Hayton (#27),
Bo Horvat (#14), Macklin Celebrini (#9), Kent Johnson (#91),
Harrison Brunicke (#45), Will Cuylle (#50), Travis Sanheim (#6)
All proceeds will support White Ribbon Austria's violence prevention projects.

Use of the auction proceeds
The proceeds will go towards:
- Workshops for boys and men
- Violence prevention programmes in schools and clubs
- Raising awareness of healthy masculinity
- Public awareness work to combat violence against women
Given the high number of femicides in Austria, this work is more urgent than ever.
The auction is being held in cooperation with PHÖNIX Austria – Verein für Sport, Soziales und Umwelt.
