Benjamin Baumgartner joins the squad for Germany week
In addition to Peter Schneider, who trained individually last week, and Benjamin Nissner, Dominic Hackl and Ramon Schnetzer, who were rested and given time off for the return game against Czechia, Benjamin Baumgartner will also join the national team on Monday. Head coach Roger Bader also indicated that four players from win2day ICE Hockey League champions Moser Medical Graz99ers are expected in Zell am See on Wednesday evening. Germany will visit the home of the Zeller Eisbären for a traditional rivalry fixture on Thursday, followed by the return game in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER) on Saturday. Remaining tickets for the home game are available via the ÖEHV ticket shop, while ORF SPORT + will broadcast both games live.

"One defenceman and three forwards will join the team camp on Wednesday evening. They will train on Thursday and Friday, but will not play in Thursday's game. The plan is for them to take to the ice in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday," reveals Roger Bader. The identities of the four players will be announced during the week.
Peter Schneider, Benjamin Nissner, Dominic Hackl and Ramon Schnetzer will all return from Monday. Particular attention will be on Benjamin Baumgartner. The Switzerland-based player suffered a lower-body injury in mid-February during an exhibition game for SC Bern against the Kölner Haie, which also required surgery. Over the coming days, Baumgartner will train and play at full intensity for the first time since his injury.
Aside from the Graz99ers players, Gregor Biber is also expected during the final week of preparations, as he is still competing for the Swedish championship with Rögle, who currently trail Skelleftea AIK 0:2.
