AWHL continues with Placement and Qualification Rounds
The regular season in the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League has concluded. The season now continues with the Placement and Qualification Rounds. This weekend, the VSV Lady Hawks have two home games in the Placement Round on the schedule – against Sabres St. Pölten and the KSV Highlanders. The Qualification Round also gets under way with two games: Lakers Kärnten face the Graz99ers Huskies, while the Huskies host DEC Salzburg Eagles the following day. There are also two games in the European Women’s Hockey League. The Sabres are away in Bratislava, while MAC and Jégkorong Akadémia meet in a derby in Budapest.

The top 3 teams from the regular season of the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League will contest the Placement Round from Saturday, battling for the best possible starting position for the Final-4. On Saturday, the VSV Lady Hawks host defending champions Sabres St. Pölten, before the KSV Highlanders visit Villach the following day.
The remaining three teams will compete in the Qualification Round for the fourth ticket to the Final-4. This weekend, Lakers Kärnten face the Graz99ers Huskies on Saturday. Just one day later, the Huskies are back in action, this time at home against DEC Salzburg Eagles.
Two games in the European Women’s Hockey League
There is also action in the European Women’s Hockey League this weekend. On Friday evening, league leaders Sabres St. Pölten visit seventh-placed HK PSRZ Bratislava, while Saturday sees the Budapest derby between sixth-placed MAC Budapest and tenth-placed Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia.
