The national team year is far from over!
Austria will hold their next training camp in December and host Hungary in Kapfenberg. “We are delighted that we are able to play the first international match in the new arena in Kapfenberg so soon,” says Roger Bader. There were various considerations for the December break. During the IIHF Congress in Turkey, the head coach ultimately held talks with the Hungarian federation.
“We discussed the idea of playing two games close to the border. That means the effort required for our guests is not great, and they can even travel by bus,” explains Roger Bader.
Austria will face Hungary again at the 2023 World Championship in May.
