Austria Stars Pee-Wee Cham­pions 2024

In the AA category, the Austria Stars claimed the tournament title on Sunday with a 3:2 final victory over Atlantic Selects. The ÖEHV warmly congratulates all players, the coaching staff and all support staff.

The Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament is the world’s most prestigious youth ice hockey tournament. Held in the beautiful city of Quebec at the Videotron Center and the Pavillon de la Jeunesse, it offers 120 teams from around the world an unforgettable experience every year.

After more than 60 years, the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament remains a place of unforgettable encounters and memorable souvenirs, where thousands of players aged 11 and 12 defend their teams’ colours. Hockey greats such as Brad Park, Guy Lafleur, the Gretzky brothers and the Howe brothers, Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, Steven Stamkos and many others all took part in the tournament at some point in their careers. Others, including Jean Béliveau, Maurice Richard and Gordie Howe, watched from the stands.

February 2024 will remain unforgettable for the Austria Stars, featuring goaltenders David Astner and Marco Naumann; players Maximilian Fliegenschnee, Emil Jahn, Lukas Schwendinger, Laura Nistelberger, Fynn Reiner, Benedikt Nutz, Jonas Gferrer, Ben Bauer, Liam Vospernik, Jonas Helfer, Julian Hofer, Nico Habich, Max Pontasch-Müller, Tyler Ira, Leo Brandstätter and Cristiano Weiss; as well as the support staff led by Harald Pschernig, Florian Hajek, Daniel Hartl, Martin Nutz, Selina Schwendinger and team manager Christian Hartl.

At this year’s edition, the team secured the title with a 3:2 final victory over the Atlantic Selects. With ten points, seven goals and three assists, Leo Brandstätter was also the second-highest scorer in the AA category.
