Austria’s U18 women’s national team to play two test matches against hosts Norway in Skien
For Austria’s U18 women’s ice hockey national team, the IIHF break marks the start of the countdown to the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship, Division I, Group A, which will take place in Budapest (HUN) from 05 to 11 January 2025. Head Coach Mario Bellina’s team will play two test matches against hosts Norway in Skien.

While the women’s senior national team is competing in a three-nation tournament in Lillehammer – the Bambusa Challenge 2024 – Austria’s red-white-red U18 selection will be in Skien. The administrative centre of Telemark is one of Norway’s oldest cities and has around 57.000 inhabitants.
Norway will be one of Austria’s opponents at the World Championship in Budapest in early January, alongside Germany, Italy, Hungary and France.
