Austria’s U18 men begin World Championship countdown at Four Nations Tournament in Fondo
Austria’s U18 men’s national ice hockey team begins its countdown to the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship, Division I, Group A, which takes place in Szekesfehervar (HUN) from 20 to 26 April 2025, during the IIHF break. The team led by head coach Florian Mühlstein will face Italy, Slovenia and Hungary in Fondo.

Before travelling to Italy, head coach Florian Mühlstein has brought his team together in Klagenfurt, with four training sessions scheduled at the Heidi-Horten-Arena from Monday to Wednesday.
The Four Nations Tournament in the picturesque Non Valley will provide the ÖEHV side with an assessment of where it stands and an initial benchmark: Slovenia and Hungary will also be opponents for Austria’s U18 team at next April’s World Championship.
In addition to Slovenia and Hungary, Austria will also face Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Denmark at the World Championship.
