Austria’s 13 for the YOG in Gangwon

The tournament will be played in the new 3x3 format, which, according to Florian Mühlstein, produced some interesting findings in training a week ago: "At the beginning, we did not know what to expect, as we had never played in this new 3x3 format before. There is constant body and stick contact. It is exactly what helps us develop players. The 45-second shift intervals also make the intensity enormous."

Thanks to the movable boards, Salzburg provided the perfect conditions to prepare for this format. Florian Mühlstein and his team scouted extensively and also played two friendly matches against Poland. Austria is permitted to send a total of 13 players to the Youth Olympic Games – two goaltenders and eleven skaters.
