Austria hosts Four Nations Tournament in Klagenfurt
Austria’s U16 men’s ice hockey national team returns to the full-size ice surface at the Four Nations Tournament in Klagenfurt following the 3v3 tournament at the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon.

They opened with a 2:1 win over Norway on Thursday evening. Head Coach Florian Mühlstein: "We scored two goals on the power play, while conceding one ourselves when shorthanded. Overall, the boys played very disciplined hockey, were ready from the start and implemented what we had asked of them. There were minor errors in the system, but that was also due to having several new players involved. However, the new players, and especially the younger ones, were by no means out of their depth. Quite the opposite: several players, such as Paul Sintschnig, were able to make their mark. Now it is important to recover quickly again. At the pre-game skate, we will see if we can still make minor adjustments, and then we will be ready for France."
The games against France on Friday and the ever-young classic against Germany on Saturday now follow.
