Austria boosted by Gregor Biber and Paul Huber
Final preparations for the 2026 World Championship get under way for the Austrian players on Tuesday afternoon. The finishing touches will be made in Klagenfurt, where they will play their eighth and final warm-up game against Slovenia on Saturday at 16:20. Tickets are available via the ÖEHV ticket shop, while ORF SPORT + will broadcast live. As announced last week, Gregor Biber and Paul Huber will now also join the national team.

"It was already known that Paul Huber would join us this week. The players who were given a break are also back as planned. Gregor Biber's season ended on Saturday. We made contact immediately after the game against Germany and he is now also joining the national team in Klagenfurt," reveals Head Coach Roger Bader. Clemens Unterweger, Bernd Wolf and Dominic Zwerger were given time off for the return game against Germany in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Atte Tolvanen and David Maier were sidelined by illness last week, but will also be back in action from Tuesday. Gregor Biber's final series in Sweden with Rögle came to an end last weekend. They were beaten 1:4 by Skelleftea AIK in the best-of-seven final series.
