Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel cele­brate emphatic home win over cham­pions Rittner Buam SkyAlps

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice claimed a hard-fought 2:1 win over S.G. Cortina Hafro, increasing the pressure on league leaders Zell. After hosts Cortina had taken an early lead, Jesenice levelled the score on the power play in the middle period. The two goaltenders then took centre stage before Erik Svetina scored the decisive goal just under two minutes before what appeared set to be overtime. With this victory, Jesenice retained second place and are now just three points behind leaders Zell.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel emerged as clear winners from the important clash between the chasing sides against Rittner Buam. The Tyroleans made a strong start and took the lead with a quick double strike. However, Ritten battled their way back and equalised at 3:3 by the 33rd minute. The following minutes once again belonged to the Adler, who ultimately prevailed 7:3. Seven different players got on the scoresheet for Kitzbühel. With this victory, the Adler moved above Rittner Buam in the table and now sit in third place.

League leaders EK Die Zeller Eisbären battled their way to a shootout win against HK Celje. The Slovenians made a significantly better start and built a 3:0 lead by the 24th minute. But then Christian Jennes took matters into his own hands and turned the game around single-handedly. A perfect hat-trick within 20 minutes made it 3:3 and sent Zell into overtime. After a scoreless overtime period, Nick Huard secured the win in the shootout.

WSV Sterzing Broncos celebrated a 3:1 win over KHL Sisak. After a scoreless opening period, Sisak opened the scoring and held the lead for a long time. However, the Broncos turned the game around in the final period to secure the victory.
