For a long time, both teams were locked in a fiercely contested game, with the Adler taking the lead late in the second period: Jakob Lippitsch made it 1:0 from close range with exactly 01:50 remaining before the second intermission (39th minute).

The Zeller Eisbären now faced a three-goal aggregate deficit heading into the final period. Just under two minutes from the end, Anthony De Luca sealed the win for the Tyroleans with the 2:0 empty-net goal (59th minute). Kitzbühel goaltender Alexander Schmidt recorded a shutout to secure the Austrian championship title in the 2024/2025 Alps Hockey League season for the team coached by Head Coach Marco Pewal.
