This partnership will not only promote the games of our national teams, but above all transform home games into a rock arena. At every home game of the women's and men's national teams, a 88.6 DJ will create the right atmosphere in the arena. Mario Batka, live reporter at 88.6, will bring our stars to the microphone in his unmistakable style at selected games.
88.6 will not only be heard at home games. The rock station's logo will now be visible on the jerseys of the women's and men's national teams as well as on the rink boards, all the way through to the end of June 2027!
Bernhard Friedrich, ÖEHV Managing Director: “Even in our digital world, radio remains one of the media with the widest reach. As the No. 1 private radio station in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, with more than half a million listeners every day, ice hockey will gain additional visibility and attention. This also represents a significant step towards giving our national teams' home games a stronger event character, offering a complete experience from which our fans in particular will benefit through this partnership.”
Günther Zögernitz, Managing Director of RadioCom Wien: “The collaboration with the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation is a major step for us and we are very pleased about it. Radio 88.6 and the ÖEHV are a perfect match – both share a strong connection to the community and the ambition to create great experiences. Through this partnership, we are combining our strengths and look forward to continuing to rock Austrian ice hockey together in the years ahead.”
