56 players took part in the U14 & U15 scouting camp in Ferlach

The scouting camp for the Austrian Ice Hockey Association (ÖEHV) U14 and U15 selection teams took place in Ferlach from 31 March to 3 April. 24 skaters and four goaltenders in each age group took the opportunity to gain their first insight into the U14 and U15 selection team system and showcase themselves as potential future national team players.

The focus was on specific training sessions on and off the ice, allowing the young athletes to experience what it means to wear the Austrian selection jersey.

In addition to tactical content and a consistent style of play, particular emphasis was placed on structured training management and the high pace of international ice hockey. The players were able to put what they had learned directly into practice in internal games.

“I am convinced that these camps will be important building blocks in the players’ long-term development. Internal competition and the role of an ÖEHV selection player provide important impetus. At the same time, we want to convey to the athletes the style of play we pursue and the educational structure behind our playing philosophy,” said Florian Mühlstein, ÖEHV Head of Training and Development and responsible for the sporting implementation of the camps.

Special thanks go to Warrior Hockey. The official ÖEHV equipment supplier also provided strong support for the camp and honoured the best players each day with special caps.
