1:5 defeat for U17 men against Slovenia's U18

"The two games fully served that purpose," emphasises Peter Schweda too. Despite the 1:5 defeat, the Viennese was not dissatisfied: "The commitment was fine. The boys largely implemented the instructions. From the second period onwards, you could tell they were getting tired, particularly mentally. It had been a tough week, and the upcoming cut certainly also played a part."  

Austria initially fell 0:1 behind in the 5th minute. In the middle period, they conceded a shorthander to make it 0:2 in the 28th minute and went into the break 0:3 down. Ben Öfner scored Austria's consolation goal in the 50th minute. By then, Slovenia were already 4:0 ahead and ultimately won 5:1.
